Haunting stacked saxophones and 808’s start the head-nodding, rump-shaking mysterious majesty of Shay Saint-Victor’s debut single “Sonic Illusion,” an aural voyage that stimulates the head as much as the feet, and makes you ask, “Was it an Illusion? Sonic Evolution?”

Hailing from Detroit, MI, the home of Motown, Shay is a driven, passionate and charismatic singer/songwriter with a unique approach to R&B and soulful pop.

She sings with a voice that could make a heart beat with joy and hope. Her stunning lyrics are personal and intimate, full of uplifting emotions and vibrant melodies. Her songs are like waves crashing on the shoreline; a beautiful balance of strength and grace.

Among her many achievements, Shay has collaborated with fellow artists such as Kelly Rowland, producers Karl Rubin and Chuck Harmony, toured singing in the musical “One Night With Janis Joplin.” as well as earning her BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase.

“Sonic Illusion” was produced by Narducci, aka Matthew Silberman, who also played saxophone. Los Angeles native Narducci, who previously produced as DeSoto, has worked with Miguel, Bilal, Daron Malakian of System of a Down, and Warren Cuccurullo of Duran Duran/Frank Zappa, and currently works with Dimond Saints, The Orbellion, and Japanese artist Shanti among many others. DownBeat described him as “…one of the most reflective, and reflexively complex [jazz voices] on the Brooklyn scene,” while Jazz Times said he is “one of those artists who is not afraid to explore what music can become, while utilizing what music already is.”

“Sonic Illusion” is available in all major digital music outlets.
